ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Kendra Carr is Vice President and General Manager of Beacon Nonprofit, where she helped build the business and now leads its strategy, growth, operations, and product strategy. She oversees Beacon's educational content, nonprofit formation platform, and customer experience, helping ensure first-time nonprofit founders have the guidance and support they need to confidently start and grow their organizations.
Before helping launch Beacon, Kendra spent more than a decade in progressively senior marketing leadership roles at Expedia Group. During her tenure, she led CRM, lifecycle marketing, customer engagement, and growth initiatives across brands including Vrbo, Hotels.com, Expedia, and Travelocity, with responsibility for global programs spanning 47 markets.
At Beacon, Kendra brings that same customer-first approach to the nonprofit sector. Working alongside Beacon's nonprofit formation and compliance specialists, she helps shape practical, easy-to-understand services and educational content that empowers founders to navigate nonprofit state formation, 501(c)(3) formation, IRS compliance, nonprofit governance, and organizational growth with confidence.
